TRACK: TESI

TESI: Technology for SOCIAL IMPACT

The main goal of this course is to work with senior scientists and help them transform their scientific ideas into tangible services and products for society. At the beginning of I2P you'll be free to choose between this track or CBI4AI. Note that the schedule is subject to change.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Kick-off and Brainstorming

What: This is the first I2P-TeSI activity and everyone is expected to attend. During these four days you will learn about your challenge, meet your team, attend some lectures and most importantly, work towards drafting a first solution that you'll present at the end of the week.

Where: ESADE Campus Sant Cugat; UPC Campus Nord

Trip to CERN Ideasquare

What: You'll travel to CERN to discuss and present your ideas with top scientists. Funding comes from UE Attract program.

Where: CERN, Switzerland

Coaching Sessions

What: Your team will schedule periodic meetings with coaches that will guide you through your challenge, technical and design coaching sessions will be also scheduled depending on the projects needs. Specific details will be provided during the Kick-off Week.

Where: UPC Campus Nord

Mid-Term Activities

What: During this activity you'll continue to work with your team towards a first prototype of a solution of the challenge.

Where: IED Barcelona Campus; ESADE Campus Sant Cugat

Final Presentations

What: During the final week of the course your team will present the solution to the challenge to the I2P academic staff.

Where: ESADE Campus Sant Cugat
